Originally founded as Smith and Sons, Inc. in 1987, they are a family owned and operated company with a reputation built on commitment to quality. From their offices in Wheeling, Illinois, owners Mark and Vivian Smith are personally involved in every project from start to finish. Winners of numerous building and design awards the Smith Family utilizes forward thinking building methods to construct innovative, efficient, and eco-friendly projects. Their dedication to detail has allowed them a great deal of success in planning and constructing some of Chicagoland’s ­most preeminent commercial, retail and residential developments.

To this day, Smith Family Construction remains focused on their mission – to create modern day community’s people are proud to be a part of. Along with Mark’s brother Greg Smith, who joined them in 1998 as Vice President in charge of construction operations, the Smiths have begun creating such communities in their hometown of Wheeling, where they’ve lived and worked for 25 years, and are currently raising their five children.
